On the surface looks like an ordinary dining chair but on closer look, surprising details such as the backrest made up of two curved pieces and a slender frame, add unexpected movement and dynamism to the construction. The chair is made of beech and can be customized thanks to the combinations of the upholstery, in fabric or leather, cane, and the different wood finishes. The manufacturing of the item requires a manual installation of the cane that needs artisanal craft and creates an elaborate interplay with the bentwood parts. With it we hope to have achieved how Japanese translate Umami to English the “essence of deliciousness”.
